I began with Abiding Care as a board member and then went on to help with Marketing and PR. I accepted the position as Executive Director in 2013, exactly 20 years -almost to the day-of finding out I was facing my own unplanned pregnancy at the age of 20. I wish I would have had a refuge like Abiding Care to turn to. My life is an example of how God uses our brokeness to reach others in theirs. It is my great joy to serve in this role and point women towards Life and towards the Giver of Life.
Hi, my name is Jacki. I’m a nurse, mom, and wife. I’m excited to be at Abiding Care. I’ve always had a passion for babies, being an OB nurse for 13 years, and I am excited about the new endeavor at the center. The center is such an asset to our community and surrounding area, that there is no denying God will move mightily through the work here. The staff and volunteers are top notch and have such a heart to serve, that I aspire to grow in the same kind of love they show to everyone. I’ve been a nurse for 15 years and educator for 8, so I’m excited to share my knowledge in a new kind of way that can exercise my faith openly. Volunteering here is fulfilling my desire to serve and be able to share the gospel.
I came to the Abiding Care through the inspiration of my friend and mentor to use my assoicates degree in Nursing - desiring to make a difference in the lives of other women, like Jesus did in mine.
